Kira Dersch

hi! I'm kira! Outside of work, I am an artist, green-thumb, collector, and a total dork. I make art in various mediums including painting, drawing, jewelry making, and of course hair and makeup. My ability to express myself in many different ways is one of my favorite parts about me. I also love to be outside in nature. Gardening, tending to my plants, and watching them grow brings me a great deal of joy and fulfillment in life. Aside from that, I really like to explore through the woods, find cool rocks, hang out by some water, and go camping. As far as collecting goes, I’m very much a maximalist. I collect a lot of old/obsolete technology like CDs, retro game systems, CRTs, computers, VHS tapes, and so much more. I also have an odd affinity for vintage cigarette, beer, and liquor branded memorabilia. I’ve built most of my collections through thrifting, garage sales, and flea markets. In terms of my more dorky hobbies (as if the last few weren’t weird enough), I play video games on a practically daily basis. I predominantly am interested in retro games, my favorite consoles being the Nintendo 64, GameCube, and SNES. My all time favorite game series is The Legend of Zelda, and if I elaborate any more on that subject, I will absolutely talk your ear off, so I’ll keep it brief for your own sake. Aside from classic games, I also build computers and play some slightly more modern games on my PC like Bioshock, Minecraft, Apex, Palworld, and more. I also enjoy playing tabletop games. I play Magic: The Gathering, I’m way too good at poker, and every Saturday my partner and I host a DnD session with our friends. That’s about it for my hobbies. A little more about myself is that I’m engaged to the most amazing partner, his name is Dusk. We are expecting our first child in February of 2024, and I could not be more excited to start a family together. I don’t really know what else to say about myself, so yeah that's me!
